Advance Pierre/Barber Foods Recalls Frozen Chicken Kiev
Release Date: July 17, 2015

Advance Pierre/Barber Foods issued a recall of several frozen chicken entrees due to the potential for Salmonella. Coborn’s carried the recalled Barber Chicken Kiev product, UPC 73461-02109.

Coborn’s Does Not Carry Recalled Ground Beef Products
Release Date: June 4, 2015

No Coborn’s stores have carried any of the recalled Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc. ground beef products. The reason for their recall is that a positive E.coli O157:H7 sample was found in ground beef produced from this plant. There is no indication that any other product produced on this day would test positive for this bacteria. Coborn's Does Not Carry Recalled Hummus
Release Date: April 9, 2015

No Coborn's stores have carried any of the recalled hummus that has been covered in the news recently. Sabra Dipping Co., LLC announced that it is voluntarily recalling approximately 30,000 cases of its Classic Hummus due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Amy’s Kitchen Recalls Variety of Products Containing Spinach
Release Date: March 23, 2015

Amy’s Kitchen is recalling the following items due to the potential to contain Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may only suffer from short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The affected products may have been sold at some grocery locations in the Natural Foods department.

No illnesses have been linked to this recall. Customers with these products in their possession should discard them or return them to the store for a full refund.

Kraft Foods Group is issuing a recall of several items due to the possibility that some boxes may contain small pieces of metal. Salmonella is an organism that can cause a foodborne illness. Symptoms of infection include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after infection. The illness usually lasts four to seven days, and most persons recover without treatment.
