Ingredients
Preparation
Peel, core, quarter the apples, and chop into small pieces. Place the chopped apples in a large mixing bowl and add the ground beef, onion salt, white pepper, cloves, egg, and bread crumbs. Mix the ingredients together well and shape into small balls. Roll the balls in the flour to coat them. Set the meatballs aside.
Heat the butter or margarine in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Add the almonds and heat them until they are brown. Remove the almonds and set them aside. Add the meatballs to the heated oil and brown. Remove them from the pan and allow them to cool. Add the hot water to the pan, the bouillon cubes, raisins, lemon juice, and cooled almonds. Mix together well and add meatballs. In a separate bowl blend cold water and cornstarch until smooth. Add to the meatball mixture in the frying pan and mix in. Cook for a minute or so longer until the sauce thickens. For a complete meal serve with brown rice and zucchini squash.
