Bakery Clerks (Part Time)

Job Description: The Bakery Clerk is responsible for helping operate and maintain the efficient operation of the Bakery Department and provide exceptional service and support to customers. This position ensures product is adequately stocked and presentable; ensures product is wrapped, packaged and priced accurately and legibly; answers phones and assists customers visiting the Bakery Department; and maintains regular cleaning and sanitation.

Baggers / Carryout Support (Part Time)

Job Description: The Bagger/Carryout Support is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in handling items with care when bagging customer merchandise and providing carryout service. This position also assists with other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements This position requires strong oral communication skills for working with customers, employees, and vendors; frequent standing and use of arms and hands for reaching and handling product; and availability to work day, evening and weekend shifts.

Bookkeepers / Service Counter (Part Time)

Job Description: The Bookkeeper/Service Counter position is responsible for performing bookkeeping operations and assisting in maintaining high standards of customer service throughout front end operations. Bookkeeping functions include register pickups, balancing register drawers and balancing of accounts, updating balances in cash register system, safe record keeping, charge account record keeping, check encoding, and preparation of daily reports and deposits. In addition, this position performs service counter and equipment operations such as cash registers, money order machines, postage machine, copiers, and lottery equipment.

Requirements One year of experience in a retail or supermarket environment; strong math and accounting skills; excellent oral and written communication skills for working with customers, employees, and vendors; and ability to operate front end equipment such as cash registers, adding machines, computers, postal machine, telephones, lottery machines, and copiers.

Cake Decorators (Part Time)

Job Description: The Cake Decorator is responsible for icing and decorating cakes, cookies, and other bakery products pursuant to company and customer specifications and satisfaction. In addition, this position assists customers in submitting special orders and daily bakery requests and sales; merchandises bakery items and ensures product displays are stocked and maintained; wraps, packages and prices product accurately and legibly; and completes baking process, as necessary.

Requirements One year of experience in a bakery environment; experience with baking and packaging product; excellent oral communication skills to work with employees, customers and vendors; ability to operate knives, scales, cooking and baking equipment; ability to maintain frequent standing and mobility; due to unique safety requirements, the minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years of age.

Job Description: The Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by operating a cash register and check stand and performing bagging and carryout functions efficiently and courteously in a manner that conforms to front end procedures and company standards. This position also scans and keys items for accurate UPC numbers, weights, and item pricing; collects cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from customers; and assists customers with questions or product information.

Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills for working with customers, employee, and vendors; strong math skills to perform addition, subtraction, and division calculations. This position requires frequent standing and use of arms and hands for reaching and handling product. Availability to work day, evening and weekend shifts.

Job Description: The Liquor Clerk is responsible for assisting customers with their liquor purchases and questions, operating the cash register, stocking shelves and building displays, and ensuring the store is neat and clean. This position is also responsible for unloading trucks and stocking coolers and storage areas and performs shelf maintenance including stocking and cleaning.

Receiving Clerk (Part Time)

Job Description: The Receiving Clerk is responsible for efficient and accurate checking of vendor deliveries. This position receives incoming shipments of supplies and equipment from vendors and assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucks; inspects items in order to verify accuracy and condition of shipment, compares items numbers, quantities, descriptions, and code numbers with packing slips; records and/or reports discrepancies of damaged/defective items; accurately posts invoice to receiving sheet; and maintains control over vendor traffic in and out of receiving area.

Requirements Strong oral communication skills to work with employees, customers and vendors; strong analytical skills to verify accuracy and detail of shipments and supporting documents; strong math skills to perform addition, subtraction, and division calculations; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; and ability to maintain frequent standing and mobility.
